so today on our show we will be talking about the great Schism. And to help us talk about this we have Pope Leo IX. We would like to know what was the great schism.

The great schism was during the Byzantine Empire. It was a split from the catholic church. It was basically a split from the western catholic church and the Eastern orthodox church. We just disagreed on so much we couldn't stand each other anymore.

Thank you for coming on our show and i hope to see you soon.

Columbus leaves spain

1492
Today I’m speaking to Christopher Columbus, he is known as the founder of America. So Christopher tell us about your famous voyages and what you accomplished.
Well first off thanks for having me on the show and during my first voyage i started from Spain. I first calculated my route and it didn’t end up exactly were i thought i would. I left Spain in 1492, and i went to  some major trade routes. At the end of my first voyage i ended up in China. So Christopher why were these voyages important?
The voyages i took linked Europe and Spain to the rest of the world. It mad the rest of the world aware of its presence, and got it trading foreign cultures, and goods. so basically you can thank me for everything i guess
Well thanks for coming on my show and i hope to see you later

Charlemagne

771
Today our guest is Charlemagne also known as greatest of the medievalkings. Charlemagne is here to comment on his rule and what he accomplished. So what was ruling Europe like.
Hi thanks for having me being king was challenged but a good experience. I was born April 2, 742, and i was raised very well and wealthy. When me and my brother were able to become king, my younger brother Carlomen inherited the thrown as you know i wasn't to happy about that
Hahaha Of course
In 771 he died of mysterious causes and i inherited the thrown. When I received the thrown Europe was in a state of chaos, people were falling back to their barbarian ways and most people were forgetting how to read and express themselves which angered me. I saw this and was very dissapointed so i launched a thirty year military expedition to expand Europe and gain back some land that belonged to me. By the end of my reign people were expressing themselves in ways that they humans should. my reign brought Europe out of the dark ages and made man start advancing again. Thanks to me
Of course Thank you for being on my show and hopefully i will see you again one day.

Crusades

Crusades1.jpg
1097
This weeks guest is Pope Urban the 2, here to comment on the crusades and how they affected Europe.
During the year of 1097 Europe was disorganized and poorly ruled. And during this time the Muslims had taken over Jerusalem, and Christians who wanted to travel to Jerusalem were not let in, or hassled by the Muslims. I asked people to volunteer to go retake the Holy Land. Plus i feel like they needed something to do besides kill each other. I had rallied over 10,000 people to go on a crusade to take the Holy Land. The first crusade was not succesfull, because we did not inticapate the lack of food and the climate which was sandy and hot, like how did we miss that. This would lead to a series of nine crusades, which creates tention between the superior christians  and the muslims. This helped link Europes culture with the middle east’s. It gave us knowledge and holy artifacts that rightly belonged to us.
Thank you oh holy pope i thank you for being on my show but its time to move on to our next guess.

Magna Carta

MagnaCarteG_468x578.jpg
1215

Hello and welcome back to the show. We have King John here to talk about the Magna Carta.  So please tell me what is the Magna Carta.

The Magna Carta was a document that the nobles forced me to sign in 1215. It stated  the rights of the Barons, it also stated that the King wasn’t above the law which i disagree on.  Following it’s establishment, I agreed to not raise taxes without consulting my Grand Council of Lords. which i think is ridiculous because i am a king.

Well thats all the time we have and thank you for being on my show.

Battle of Tours

5937kn3.jpg
732 AD

This week our guest for the show is Charles Martel, he will be answering some questions about the Battle of Tours. Charles what was the battle about.
Well this battle was caused because the Muslim’s were coming into my neighborhood  and taking it over. The Muslim army was approaching my turf and was planning to get rid of  me and i had no other choice but to come at them.
What was the battle like Charles?
On October 10, 732 the Muslims attacked my turf. With my army being attacked on our home land it gave me an advantage, my army was used to the climate and knew the terrain well. I knew they were comeing for some time now and have been training my men for about a year now. The Battle did not last long. My army held their ground and we won the battle and executed the Muslim leader, that night the Muslims peacefully left the land.
Well congrats on the victory and thanks for being on my show.

William the Conqueror

William.the.conqueror.jpg
1028-1087 AD
Today William the Conqueror is he to be interviewed, and he will comment on his life. William were did rule  before England, and how did you gain power in England.
Well before i was the ruler of England i was a Duke of Normandy. I had an army that was loyal to me and that respected me. As the English power grew, I became more envious of the power and started thinking i deserve this power not anyone else. I then began to invade England and i won series of battles and had gained control of many states in England.
So what do you think gave you the edge in the war.
well  the King of England died and the english army was lost so i swept through and finished them off, and on Christmas day i was named King of England. That shifted the power of England to the my people of the Norman's and i knew this changed history forever.

Rome sacked/falls to Barbarians

AlaricsackofRome.gif410 BC

Today i am interviewing a ex Roman citizen, to comment on the fall of Rome. So Julius, what do you think caused the fall of Rome.

The fall of Rome had many contributing factors, such as the empire was way to big to govern effectively. The Army became corrupt, Civil War broke out in Rome city states. Rome also had a series of uncapable Roman leaders. The economy spun out of control, and the rich became lazy and didn’t care what the Romans problems were and didn’t try to solve them. When Rome was split up, it left the western half open to invaders and fell to barbarians soon after the split.

How do you think the fall of rome effected the world.

The fall of Rome effected history by with the fall of Rome the Byzantium empire had a chance to rise. Unfortunately western Europe fell completely into chaos. the was no leader and everybody was dyeing from disease and ruthless warlords went around killing men and it left Europe susceptible to muslim invaders.

Julius Caesar/ Fall of the roman republic

Julius.Caesar.2.jpg
42-53 BC
Today my guest is Julius Caesar, the ex-ruler of Rome, he is here to comment and give us some insight on his life. So Julius what was you childhood like.
When i was growing up, my father died when i was very young. When i was 18 i married a women who i didn’t really love, i later wanted to divorce her and was not aloud so i was forced to go into exile. I was once kidnapped by some pirates, and i later got free and crucified them, for this i achieved a seat on the senate. After i won a series of crucial battles and i gained trust of my soldiers and rolled into rome beating the great Pompi  had all who apposed me killed, in Feburary 44 BCE i was named dictator of Rome.
So do you feel that you have made some enemies while rolling into power.
Yes i do feel like i have made a ton of enemies with the coming of power. I even feel my friend Brutes is planning something and i feel my life is in danger.
Thank you but that is all the time we have today.

Alexander the Great

Alexander_the_Great.jpg                                                   356-323 BC

Hi I'm Peter Wells and today I'm interviewing the one and only Alexander the Great. So we all know you ruled the mighty empire of macedonia but what made you different from other rulers.

Well i am considered one of the greatest military minds of all time. I conquered the persian empire, the greek city states, and the egyptian empire. No one could stop me, when i rolled in everybody better started running. In fact now that i mention it i never lost a single military battle.

Did you have any regrets about your rule. The only thing that i regret was not conquering all of india. It was only because my men were about ready to start a mutiny because they believe they couldn't  win this war. of course i pulled my army back but i caught an awful disease and ended up die when i was only 32. Imagine what i could of done if i had a longer life. i guess we will never find out.

                               athens-greece.jpg                                                      461-429

Hi i'm Peter Wells and today i will be interviewing Pericles. So i would like to ask you what you believe your major contribution was to this great age of humanity.

Well i am considered one of the greatest minds of my time. I strongly believe that every one should be educated and i am a big fan of fine arts. I made schools and was a teacher. I even founded a city called Acropolis that is still standing today.

Why do you believe that this is considered the golden age of greece.

It was considered the golden age of greece because of all the great minds during this time like Pythagorus, aristotle, and plato. and all of the scientific theories that came out of this time about the universe.

Thank you for your time.

Emperor Constantine

                                                                           Constantine_the_Great.jpg

306-337

My name is mike Wallace from 60 minutes and today with me I will be interviewing Constantine the great.  Mr. Constantine tells me a little about your rain over the Byzantine Empire.

Well one of my greatest accomplishments in my opinion was converting to the great religion of Christianity.  I moved the capital of the eastern Roman Empire to a brand new city called Constantinople. Sounds familiar that’s because it’s named after me!

How were your military achievements in your eyes?

Well I won countless battles and conquered countless kingdoms. By that perspective I am like Hercules on the battle field.

Very respectable so why was your rain important.

Child please my rain was one of the most important in history of the world. I made Christianity what it is today and one of the greatest cities ever made.

Thank you for your time.
